We realize that
much of the problems we encounter in Costa Rica and Peru, as true anywhere,
are due to lack of education or training and a wrong outlook or attitude.
If a person cannot conceive the possibility of finding or creating work,
or striving to improve living situations, they will remain in their
poor conditions. We are working together with the Government Agriculture,
Health, & Education Departments in that region to discover practical
ways to improve living conditions with personal initiative and creativity.
We are using the natural and human resources already available--along
with education & training, to effect a lasting change in the lives
of the native peoples.
